I did not buy; but I used the SIS Trichelle doll (one of three dark-skinned dolls available) to create a Styled by Me Barbie.  There are two light-skinned doll choices available.

Vanange Multictultural Dolls

Just when I thought Zulily.com's doll stock had been exhausted, a new doll sale emerges for Vanange multicultural dolls.  These 19.4 inch vinyl dolls with cloth bodies are designed to fill the void for dolls representing children of mixed heritage.  According to one owner's testimonial at the Vanange website,

These dolls are extremely high quality, easily on par with American Girl dolls and A Life of Faith Dolls. The dolls are not all plastic like ALoF dolls, and their entire torso is not stuffed, like AG dolls. It's a hybrid thing where they have a vinyl breast plate so the dolls look good in sleeveless dresses and tops, but the lower torso including the rear end is stuffed, providing a softy part for hugging. Little MissMatched Fashions $6.99 each

The last time I checked, Artsy Girl was still available for $9.99, but she is now sold out at Zulily.com.  Remaining in stock are the above Little MissMatched doll fashions.  Regularly priced at $20 each at the LMM website, they are now only $6.99 each at Zulily.com. 

I wish I had other dolls that could wear these.  The Little MissMatched dolls are 15-1/4-inches tall, but their bodies are very slender and their flat feet are narrow.  These are still tempting.  Does my Artsy Girl really need two additional fashions?   Hmmm...

1.  If you are registered with ebates.com, go to ebates.com first, and from there link to shop.mattel.com by entering "mattel shop" in ebate's search box, then click the Mattel link.  You'll get 2% cash back on your purchase.   (If you are not already registered with ebates.com, do so here.)

New Year, New Doll Sales Goal

After the revelation of doll purchases totaling some 100 dolls in 2011 (some were gifts and I did sell over 40 dolls last year), I am on a mission to find new homes for at least 60 dolls in 2012. This is an average of five dolls sold per month.  If priced competitively, I should be able to accomplish this goal.

For starters, I have listed a gift set of two dolls on eBay.
